Laser Designation Changed… Again
Laser designation in AT43 now affects the entire unit that gets lased. This means that if you tag 1 guy from a unit you can place your indirect fire template wherever you want on top of that unit. This was changed from before where only the targets that could be seen at lasing time were able to be targeted by indirect fire weapons. See the ruling here.
Maybe I am wrong, but didnt in the UNA book says that the designators can designate a “unit” ?
You’re correct, but there was a rule clarification made previous to this one that changed how laser tagging worked. The previous ruling made it difficult to keep track of which units were “tagged”. This ruling (more in line with what it says in the rulebook) streamlines play and removes a lot of opportunity for disagreement whether a unit can be tagged or not.
