General Errata
The Following Rules Errata have been made official for AT-43. Some of them have been published in the newer rulebooks, others have been released in CHO (Cry Havoc Online) Rackhams Monthly newsletter. For faction specific errata see Red Blok, Karmans, UNA, Therian errata sections.
Shooting
The player picks a weapon profile to shoot and then picks a target. All fighters in the unit equipped with that weapon engage the chosen target. This means that heroes equipped with the same weapon as one of their squad mates must shoot at the same target as them. If the hero has different weapons it its free to engage a separate target in the shooting phase if they want. source
Indirect Fire
When shooting with indirect fire if all of your to hit rolls come up as failures the template deviates a minimum of 10cm. If the number of misses rolled is greater than 10 (such as with grenades or maser strike where you get a large number of dice) you use the higher deviation value so with 11 dice that all come up misses the deviation is 11 cm, not the minimum of 10cm. source
Overwatch
- A unit may rush move and then be placed into overwatch. source
- A unit on overwatch may not use split fire if they do not have any special weapons. This means that type 3 infantry and all AFVs may not split their fire and use overwatch on two different targets. This is reserved for type 1 and 2 infantry with special weapons only. source
Grounding
A unit that has more than 50% of its models laid on their side (signalling grounding) by overwatch fire my still shoot as normal. It is not until their next actvation that the grounding effect starts. Example A Sierp on overwatch shoots and hits 3 bane goliaths when they move to get a shot. all 3 banes are knocked down but because it is not the start of their activation they may still shoot as normal. Their next activation the regular grounding rules apply to them. source
Stealth
units with stealth may still be targeted by fighters without stealth detection. This means that indirect fire weapons can shoot at them but all dice are considered misses. The Shot will deviate by 10cm mimum as normal but you still have a chance to hit the unit. Direct fire weapons do not have any chance to wound a stealthed unit. source
Split Fire
Split fire applies to special weapon holders only. What split fire allows you to do is to shoot at 2 separate times during your activation. Example Regular weapons shoot. Move. Special weapons shoot. This also works on overwatch to shoot at two separate targets at different times. Split fire is not required to engage different targets if all your weapon profiles are shooting at the same time. You are allowed to shoot your regular weapons at one target and your special weapons at another without having to use split fire. source
