Guide Darius
With the FFG sale going on they are offering up a few free special miniatures if you order over a certain amount. One of the models that they are offering is Guide Darius, a Karman sniper. The rules for using Darius are pretty straight forward even though you may think they are a misprint.
Darius may only join Anakonga squads, this is odd seeing as he does not have a jet pack and is armed like a kaptar, but it has been confirmed by rackham that this is correct. The Anakongas may still use their jetpacks but Darius must walk on foot, this means that the Anakongas can still fly over an obstacle but Darius must walk around. Squad coherency must be maintained as well. This reminds me of the other useless Karman hero, Mentor Freezer. Guess what, he can join Anakongas but doesn’t have a jet pack either.
This guy really should have been a Kaptar it just doesn’t make any sense to put him with Anakongas. Seriously I would house rule this one because it borders on ridiculous. Below is the card that comes with him.
UPDATE: Rackham has errata released that lets guide darius join any type 1 infantry unit. This is a well welcome change. Thanks Arpad for the heads up on this one.

I just got my copy of Darius the other day from FFG. I put him in with my Kaptors without looking at the card. I agree, makes no sense.
I agree that this was a terrible call from R. I think pretty much everyone will be ruling that he joins Kaptars.
Good question. Since Tiamat is an AFV she uses the AFV version of the Dash routine. This lets any AFV cover up to 50 cm. Hope that helps.
We had assumed that Darius went with the Kaptars because he is equipped like them. It makes absolutely no sense to put him with the Anakongas. This was obviously a mistake that Rackham refused to admit. We will be playing him as a Kaptar hero.
This has been Errata’d now – thankfully – and he can join any rank 1 infantry unit.
Errata found here: http://www.rackham.fr/newsletter/cry_online/img82/Errata_AT43_US.pdf
There are also rumours that Mentor Freezer will be fixed soon by Rackham, possibly to co-incide with the Karmans Army Box release after Christmas. We already know that the Army Box will have some new rules released in the form of a new version of the King Mammoth equipped with twin Rocket Launchers, and there may also be some changes to the Jungle Trikes such as upgraded armour or structure points… we hope.
