Ever wanted to strap a rocket launcher on your back and rain fiery death down on your opponent? If so then you’d fit right in as a Cogs Hunter. This Type 3 infantry is equipped to deal with type 1 AFVs and other type 3 infantry with ease. Heavily armed and armoured, and able to move quickly to boot, they are a danger to anything with medium armour on the battlefield.

Prowlers are one of the Cogs type 1 AFVs. They are lightly armoured but pack quite a punch as their weapons have a very high rate of fire. Able to deal with infantry and AFV threats they are the most multi-purpose of all of the Cogs’ AFVs.

When it comes to Cogs accuracy is something they have in spades. If you had one guess as to what sort of troop the sharpshooters are you’d get it right. Range is where they are most comfortable mitigating their low numbers by keeping outside the range of most weapons.

The Warmongers are the basic troop type of the Cogs army. Like many of the Cogs units their units are quite fragile with a low number of models but they are able to carry up to three special weapons in the unit. This fact offsets their relative fragility and high cost.
This video comes to us from LBD on the at-43 forums. This was a battle display they put together for the Tierra de Nadie roleplaying & wargames convention that went on this past summer. I wish I had a table like that to play on regularly!
The new CHO is available for those that subscribe to it. Unfortunately it is little more than links to the Rackham online store for things we already knew were there. 5 months of no CHO and then this?
I want some new scenarios for at-43! How about some that take advantage of the newly released army boxes? That would go a long way to getting new players that pick up an army box into the true feel of the game and would have been a far better use of time than the CHO in its current form.
I know, Rackham is busy, Rackham doesn’t have time blah blah blah. The reality is they missed a great opportunity to set the hook for new players with this release and they missed it.
The Box art for the Oni 2000 point army box has been revealed. I have to say Oni is looking pretty nice. I passed on the Cogs, but it looks like I will definitely be picking up Oni.
All future release waves have been delayed a month due to production problems in China. The September releases have been pushed back to October 14th shifting the whole release plan a month. This is something we’ve all heard before and shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. I was really hoping that the production problems were a thing of the past. Unfortunately not.
TheHopelessGamer brings us some great pics of Oni out in the open. I have to say I really like the theme of this army. The AFV’s remind me of the marines tank from aliens a little bit.
I just got married and am currently touring europe right now. My internet access is spotty at best but I will be back at the beginning of september!
