Update: See the Cogs Prowler page for more recent information.
The AT43 Cogs Prowler is looking to be an anti infantry AFV. Armed with a pistol and a minigun it will put out a large volume of fire in a short amount of time. The models look really good too. I can’t wait to see some specs on these guys as they will likely be summonable during battle.
The AT43 section of Cry Havoc Online #2 comes with a nice new scenario called attack (grab it in the scenario section). It is set up for 3000 points a side and plays on the operation democles tile set. It makes heavy use of the walled sides of the tiles and should make for quite a tactical game. Flamers and melee are all possible during this battle. There are 2 minor VP points near each players deployment zone and one centrally located major VP point.
Unfortunately the tiles are a bit hard to come by right now so if you don’t have them and you find them somewhere, scoop them up.
With the release of CHO #2 we get a view of 3 types of cog tacarms in the AT43 section. They look great and as we’ve seen from the hunter preview, they pack a punch. Here’s a gallery for your viewing pleasure. The first one is carrying a jammer, the second is armed with the same weapons as the sharpshooter and the third is the Hunter which we profiled a few days ago. These guys are going to be a lot of fun to play. I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
Tracy has a new comic out at at43comic. I hate when Tiamat does that (except when I’m the one doing it).
The Hunters are the battlesuit of the Cogs tooled for type * afv killing. Packing long range rocket launchers these guys are able to cause significant damage to moderately armoured targets. They move incredibly quick too, able to get to the next tactical position with ease. read the rest of the article »
The Warmongers are the assault troops of the Cogs. They carry quantum pistols and blades. Charging towards their enemy they can take advantage of cover anywhere on the battlefield even in plain view in order to get close enough to assault. Combining a high rate of fire and decent accuracy with low troop numbers the warmongers are fully capable of dealing with infantry and armour alike. read the rest of the article »
Brian Berman has a great blog that is covering his foray into Operation Frostbite among other things. He’s got some really great battle reports up there, definitely worth checking out.
The Red Blok Dragomirov kolossus are extremely deadly on the AT43 battle field. Packing a rocket launcher on one arm and a SM-Gauss on the other they are capable of putting down an enormous amount of fire. When coupled with Lt Dragomira they become even more deadly. Not only gaining Fire at will, she has other tricks up her sleeve. read the rest of the article »
Tabletop Gaming News got their hands on a dotch yaga photo from the spanish AT-43 forums. it looks AWESOME. Hats off to Zac for digging this up.
